--- Comment #1 from Ken Sharp imwellcushtymelike@gmail.com --- What version? Downloaded from where?
Unhandled exception: illegal instruction in wow64 32-bit code (0x73eca43d).
Are you using a WOW64 build? If so, please try again with the latest vanilla Wine.

--- Comment #3 from Olivier F. R. Dierick o.dierick@piezo-forte.be --- Hello,
I guess the question was targeted at the application.
Which version of the Minecraft launcher and what is the URL of the website to download it?
Regards.

--- Comment #5 from Olivier F. R. Dierick o.dierick@piezo-forte.be --- Hello,
I've updated the URL with the provided information.
The MSI file is labeled WINDOWS LEGACY LAUNCHER
$ sha1sum MinecraftInstaller.msi 390019b5f2c24f14dd398ab4ba8bef0183a923af MinecraftInstaller.msi
I could reproduce the issue with a fresh wineprefix on Wine 9.3 (shared wow64 build).
As the backtrace shows the error in libcef, I checked if it was a missing font issue and installed Arial with winetricks: $ winetricks -q arial
After this, the launcher ran without error and I could login and play.
This ultimately makes this issue a likely duplicate of bug 32342.
Regards.
