I'm unable to browse the Wine download directory at https://dl.winehq.org/, it
now auto-redirects to the Wine Wiki "Download" article
(https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/wikis/Download).

Before it used to have an actual directory tree with downloads
(https://web.archive.org/web/20250405091250/https://dl.winehq.org/)

There is also a link on the Wine Wiki "Download" article page - "Wine Source
Downloads" section
(https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/wikis/Download#wine-source-downloads)
for "WineHQ download server" (https://dl.winehq.org/wine/source/) that only
gives a 0 byte file as a download

Confirming. I've been told this is due to moving the repository to an AWS
server, which doesn't show directory listings, and they are looking into
solutions.

We will no longer allow browsing of the entire download folder structure. The
APT/RPM repos in particular do not need browsing. Partly due to limitations of
the new hosting solution (Fastly CDN to AWS Origin), and also due to bots
spidering the entire structure costing us bandwidth fees.

The source folder should have an index of some kind though. Since automatic
indexes are no longer possible we will have to build a downloads.html file for
that folder instead. There is a plan to dynamically build that file on new Wine
releases. Once that is done we will update the URL on the Wiki.
