Summary: MPQEdit: Empty bitmaps in rebar cause extra padding Product: Wine Version: 1.3.16 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: comctl32 AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: adys.wh@gmail.com
From Bug 25394:
When creating button in the toolbar, WINE ignores I_IMAGENONE in the TBUTTON::iBitmap member. The created button still looks like it has a bitmap, even tho empty.
Native comctl32 works fine.

--- Comment #1 from Jerome Leclanche adys.wh@gmail.com 2011-11-08 14:39:45 CST --- It's looking worse in wine-1.3.32-89-ge423abf. I'll run a regression test at some point.

--- Comment #2 from Jerome Leclanche adys.wh@gmail.com 2011-11-08 15:15:14 CST --- Nevermind, looks like an app regression.

--- Comment #4 from super_man@post.com --- I don't see anything weird related to padding at the bar that has quick shortcuts for actions (is this rebar?). The only issue with that seems to be that many of the actions are grayed out.
Could you retest?

It is mentioned, that app itself evolved in comment #2, so hard to know, what was the original issue without any pictures comparison.
It is true, that MPQ Editor's disabled icons look different from Win8.1. But on real windows it starts up into Ribbon Menu and you have to switch into Clasic Menu, to get results similar to wine. On wine, Ribbon is disabled by default.
MPQ Editor itself detects wine and behaves differently - mentioned in readme and also here https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25394#c16. So you never know what you are actually testing -> Abandoned (more than 4 years without update).
Jerome, feel free to re-open if you don't agree.

--- Comment #6 from Jerome Leclanche jerome@leclan.ch --- FWIW yes, it detects wine and disables the menu by default. There is a MPQEditor.ini config to reenableit but I can't find it right now - it might have been renamed to "MainMenuType"...
Hard to tell but anyway¸ not worth the trouble I think.
