Attached a log of the installation of DejaVu X. You can download a free 30 days demo from www.atril.com
This is a .NET application, but it's launching the .NET on its own, you just have t to unpack the zip file and launch Setup.exe (on a side note, the .NET installer is also here silently ending with error 1603 like bug 10384).
I will also attach a picture of the error message.
From that point, although the installer is crashing, the software is able to be
launched but does not go far (will be dealt in the next bug)

In either case it has nothing to do with your problem. Currently .net 2.0 does not install on Wine. See all other bugs that this can be duplicate of.
Closing invalid - broken environment, actual problem duplicate of many other bugs.

First because if dotnet installs on my distibution and not on yours that's YOUR problem, but I already said it 6 months ago. Secondly I installed DejaVu out of curiosity, I am not in need of working it at that point (I know others would like to) and if you feel it's a back door that this program is trying to install that's up to you. I am not feeling too much concerned about this either. My box had been installed freshly 2 weeks ago, i'm pretty sure I have no backdoor.
Either way - fine with me. I just reported it because I asked to.

--- Comment #7 from Yolande Haneder yolande@haneder.biz 2008-06-07 01:35:30 --- FYI and before you jump on your high horses, this file is also a dongle driver that had been on forums known to be used by some translation memory softwares and in particular the previous version of DejaVu used to be licensed through a dongle although this version is being freed by an one-time activation code.
Since I am not directly a client of Atril, I can't ask them if they can't remove this function if they are not using a dongle anymore. Maybe some dongles are still active.
