I downloaded the demo of UK Truck Simulator game from
http://www.uktrucksimulator.com/download.php . Installed it in a clean prefix.
It puts a link on the desktop that starts
<install_dir>/bin/win_x86/uktrucks.exe, the game config utility and launcher.
When I press "Start" in the launcher, it shows a blank window and nothing else
happens.

The demo is actually the full game, limited to 1 hour of play. Apparently, it
tries to connect to the internet and show a web page to let the user an option
to buy a full game.

The full digital version has similar problem. It requires activation over the
internet and it seems that's what it tries to do when I try to run the game.

http://uktrucksimulator.com/ works, http://www.uktrucksimulator.com/ is a bad
link.
The latest download seems to be 
http://download.uktrucksimulator.com/ukts_setup_1_32.exe
sha1sum 825f31037a78b30ab0edfe22f7a27cb8d825924c

I can reproduce the problem simply by running bin/win_x86/uktrucks.exe
with current git.

"winetricks ie7" does not solve the blank window, though it does let the
app pop up what looks like it should be the registration web page.

Just checked with 1.5.19. Nothing has changed. The problem is still present.

I tried the demo with wine 1.7.15 and could start the demo, I could even set
1920x1080 which was nice. :D
