--- Comment #2 from Lei Zhang thestig@google.com 2008-04-22 21:03:18 --- You should mention the name of the game you're having trouble with, and see if there's a downloadable version with the same problem.

--- Comment #5 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2008-04-26 10:31:09 --- this is duplicate. Don't add me to the CC. Don't send me personal e-mails to fix bugs. Check your system if you have "mouseemu" running. If you do - that's your problem.

Hi, At first regression testing say(bold) "Also be sure to add the author of the patch to the CC." so I do it. if duplicate bug is 12543 then it say it may be fixed in 0.9.60 which is not (but maybe in WoW3 is it I don't know). I haven't any mouseemu run, I test it on desktop with regular mouse and also emerge say, that I haven't installed it...
but in current svn is it fixed, so it is my fault, that I don't test it with current svn only with 0.9.60. So this bug is duplicate (it is not my bug).

--- Comment #7 from Abe E aezekowitz@gmail.com 2008-04-26 11:45:42 --- I see that this is fixed in svn, but just as a follow-up.. The games that had issues for me were all but one of the games in the MS Pinball Arcade collection and at least two of the games in the Pinball Madness collection (Loony Labyrinth and Crystal Caliburn). These are commercial, and I do use a legit copy I bought years ago. I don't want to incur the Wrath of Microsoft et.al, so I have to leave it to the reader to find copies of these. :-)
To be specific, in MS Pinball, left and right shift control their respective flippers - without one or both of these, none of the games within this collection are useable save for the Baffle Ball table. Other games are similarly affected, though less severely.
Anything that requires the modifiers to be specific and differentiated between left and right would have displayed issues, probably failing in ways similar to this, and that's why I filed this as a blocker - this bug blocked my use of the program completely because I could not test and/or use my games. I guess this field is not for users but for developers then (in which case, why is exposed to normal users?).
