As far as duplicating it, it's easy to do. Take a string of about 50 chars or more, copy then paste it onto the end of itself. Hold down CTRL+V and let it run amok. In Windows, it will run until it decides enough is enough, then it will wrap to the next line. Wine just keeps going on the same line until the scroll bar can't handle it anymore then weird stuff happens with the scroll bar. Just try it, I'm confident that you'll see what I'm talking about. If you search bugzilla using the keyword "scroll" you will find 16 bugs all relating to scroll bars and they all have a familiar theme to them.
