Summary: Upgrade to Bugzilla 4.0.2 Product: WineHQ Bugzilla Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: bugzilla-unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: LpSolit@netscape.net
I see that bugs.winehq.org is still running version 3.4.5. This means you are vulnerable to several security bugs, see http://www.bugzilla.org/security/. As Bugzilla 3.4 is going to be EOL before the end of the year anyway, you should upgrade to Bugzilla 4.0.2.

--- Comment #1 from Alexandre Julliard julliard@winehq.org 2011-08-25 13:35:41 CDT --- This is planned but the box needs a debian update first.

--- Comment #2 from Frédéric Buclin LpSolit@netscape.net 2011-08-25 13:42:17 CDT --- Talking about Debian, you know they have removed their .deb package for Bugzilla from their repositories, right?

So depending on the Debian version you will upgrade to, you will have to install Bugzilla using the official tarballs from http://www.bugzilla.org (maybe that's what you do already; I don't know :))

--- Comment #3 from Alexandre Julliard julliard@winehq.org 2011-08-25 14:26:44 CDT --- We use the tarballs already, but 4.0 has dependencies that can't be satisfied in debian oldstable.

--- Comment #4 from Frédéric Buclin LpSolit@netscape.net 2011-08-25 14:34:42 CDT --- That's not really a problem as Bugzilla has the install-module.pl script which lets you install missing or too old Perl modules into its local lib/ directory, to not mess with Perl modules already available in your system. :) But yes, upgrading Debian is good idea anyway. :)

--- Comment #5 from Alexandre Julliard julliard@winehq.org 2011-08-25 14:42:45 CDT --- I don't remember the details, but last time I tried install-modules it failed pretty badly. And I'd much rather use the system modules anyway.
