It is a freeware game that is available from http://progressquest.com/ The bug doesn't seem to appear with newly started games. In the older game where it appears, it seems to appear every time. Even after saving and reloading the game.

Does this imply that 1) it is native 2) I'm using it?
I did "chmod a-rwx on that file, but the problem did not go away.
