Bug #: 31813 Summary: Jamestown input (rawinput) still doesn't work Product: Wine Version: 1.5.13 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: FinalCrisisSX@Hotmail.com Classification: Unclassified
Steam Jamestown's keyboard/mouse input still don't work for me on wine 1.5.13, vanilla wine with a fresh wineprefix in winxp or win7 mode. It seems to use raw input. Same story on both Arch Linux and Linux Mint 13. In older versions of wine, it worked fine with a raw input patch, raw3.patch, available from the now closed-fixed rawinput thread. Other games that didn't work due to requiring rawinput before work fine now though, thanks to you guys implementing support for it (thanks :D).

Yes, that is the correct game. Will post a trace when I get the chance sometime today or tomorrow. Thanks :)

--- Comment #4 from Brandon Howard FinalCrisisSX@Hotmail.com 2012-09-29 16:43:42 CDT --- There is the requested trace. Since wine is now having all sorts of issues with xfce's window manager xfwm4 (some time after 1.5.10, still occurring 1.5.14... another bug to track down for another report when I have the time :p), I tried it using metacity too and had identical results, if that is of any consequence. If you want that log instead (fewer wm quirk related msgs?), let me know.

Yes! It appears so.
Originally, the game would do nothing but crash from git, on my normal or a fresh prefix.. so I thought it might be broken and I'd have to go regression test that too.. but then I tried modifying the latest snapshot tarball from the wine git site to suit the Arch Linux wine pkgbuild script (which has 3 modifications to the compiling process to fix common issues), and that worked like a charm. Post-1.5.15, unpatched, working as it should with Jamestown.
Thanks :)
