Mafia III has messed and very dark graphics and it cannot be played. I can't get apitrace for the game doesn't start with it. I try it on Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti and I tried a a couple of versions past 11-12 months, all with the same effect.

004b:err:d3d:wined3d_debug_callback 0x1df43da0: "GL_INVALID_OPERATION error generated. Cannot begin query on an active query object.".

and many more related errors. A +d3d trace might help.

BTW, I don't know what Wine frontend or something are you using to run the game but I assume that the "csmt: off" at the top of the log isn't actually true.

How to made a +d3d trace? I attached +d3d_shader,+dxgi,+d3d11 wine log already. Is this different? Tell me what I have to do and I'll try it.

For the frontend - I just use script for starting wine in independent prefix and It's written in the times when Wine-staging=CSMT On :)

The Game is no longer black, but switched to a psychadelic blue&yellow which gives you headache.
