did not support Linux, so I tried it in wine.

I tried 
  winetricks firefox quicktime76

and then used windows firefox to go to http://www.immaginaria.info/
and install the plugin, then visited 
http://www.immaginaria.info/demo/altemps
but it complained about not having quicktime installed :-(

This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days.

Is this still an issue in wine version 1.6-rc4 or higher or is this to be
closed as abandoned ?

No longer complains about missing QuickTime in wine-1.7.29.

Although it is still not usable. Firefox-v24 complains that module crash, but
same thing happens under WinXP. Probably not worth to spend time this plugin &
firefox.
