Summary: Application does not start Product: Wine Version: 1.1.13 Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: P1 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: realszopen@gmail.com
I'm trying to run this app: Matrix The Path of Neo, EU version, however the game keeps complaining about DVD missing from drive. I can patch it though, but then the error remains.

--- Comment #3 from Radosław Ciechowski wilczur102@o2.pl 2009-01-19 14:52:20 --- I made a quick search and found out that game uses SecuROM 7.00.00.0017, so if game runs with crack this might be just duplicate of bug http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7065 ?

--- Comment #4 from Emil Kaczmarek realszopen@gmail.com 2009-01-19 15:23:16 --- Pardon for wrong severity, just rechecked and obviously it should be normal, lame of me not to read carefully severity descriptions, I always do that if I amnot sure about something...... Anyway, I checked winecfg and remapped CD-ROM just in case, it did not help. The exact error message is: "No CD/DVD-ROM drive found." The problem with EU version is the latest and only updated version there is is EU 1.1 and there's no crack for this particular version of the game. I know, I know, I should have checked if patching to 1.2 US version works (there's a crack for that) but unfortunately that's not the point. It would be great if there was a solution. And also, it actually might be a duplicate of that bug with SecuRom but I'm not 100% sure. If this is the case I kindly ask someone responsible to change this bug's status.

--- Comment #5 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-07-21 14:09:56 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.1.26 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #7 from Emil Kaczmarek realszopen@gmail.com 2009-07-21 15:57:11 --- Just checked with wine 1.1.26. This time I'm getting a different error. It's basically a wine window saying that the program encountered a critical error and it may be caused by he problem in he program or a deficiency in wine and has to be closed. I uploaded full debug log. URL is attached.

Output of full wine debug.
Don't "attach" URLs. Attach complete terminal output as a plain text file _without_ any WINEDEBUG flags set.
