I have some Windows programs, with windows like WINDOSXP.JPG. (See compressed
attachment.) When I run them with wine they look like LINUX.JPG. The program
works just fine, but as can be seen there are two new features in the Linux
screens:
green and red backgrounds pop up and the green one hides some of the buttons.
It is possible to find the buttons above only above the right part, but you
must be very careful with the mouse. The programs come with a large database,
so they are hard to submit. If I by some means can provide a trace and or debug
information I will do so.

It's a genealogy application. I have a version with a empty database, which is
only 2.2 MB compressed, which I can supply. It will start and show the windows
effect.

It has no name. The name depends on what database it is generated for. You can
only display the contents of the specific database. I have a version which was
incorrectly generated so it contains an empty database. It can only be use for
showing the windows. The database is 2.2 MB as a tar.gz  file. I understand
that a copyrighted software is not allowed. But I think in this case it's not a
problem as nothing can be done with it.

It's still a problem with 1.1.24.

Is there any test or anything else I can do to try to solve this?

This is the terminal outputI only start the rpogarm and when the window is
ready I exit the program:
[peter@hpd1 ~]$ wine '/home/peter/.wine/drive_c/Program/SSFpres/811/pres.exe'

It's not a web based interface. As you see from the command, it's "standard"
EXE-program.

As a guess, native riched20 or gdiplus may help. Not sure what API it's using
to draw that screen...

This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days. Development recommends
to check the status on your bug every release or two and let to be known if the
bug is still present. If not, mark it fixed. If you are no longer able to put
effort to this ticket, you can abandon it.
