I'm using Ubuntu, and I installed FEMM and changed comctl.dll to native and the software runs fine, but now winecfg does not run giving this kind of message riccardo@riccardo:~$ winecfg fixme:advapi:CheckTokenMembership (0x44 0x12b110 0x32fa80) stub! fixme:ntdll:NtQueryInformationProcess (process=0xffffffff) Unimplemented information class: ProcessWx86Information when i run winecfg as root then the configuration appears...
when I click on unistall wine software also does not run, but I've never tried it before... also the registry editor doesn't show entries. hope not to bug you with this bug, I'm a novice.

Don't run wine as root.

Ubuntu was relying on broken behavior. Use 'wine uninstaller'.

wine unistaller does not work... it tells me
wine: could not load L"C:\windows\system32\unistaller.exe": Module not found
why is it not good to run the config as root? and will that config only work for root, meaning my user settings do not change?
