Summary: Morrowind GStreamer error on load Product: Wine Version: 1.3.12 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: i30817@gmail.com
Morrowind is giving this error on ubuntu 11.04 64 bits, from the wine from the wine repositories. "(wine:32219): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib32/gstreamer-0.10/libgstspc.so': libopenspc.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory fixme:gstreamer:GST_Connect Could not make source filter, are gstreamer-plugins-* installed for 32 bits?"
As explained on the last post of this bug http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24933
I assigned the bug to mr. Maarten Lankhorst though i'm not sure it is the same.
There is also a new crash bug on "new game" too that seems unrelated (i compiled HEAD --without-gstreamer to test it and the crash happened anyway), but i'm trying to perform a regression test of it for another bug.

--- Comment #1 from paulo i30817@gmail.com 2011-01-29 22:50:01 CST --- Also installing the ugly package says: sudo apt-get install gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly is already the newest version. 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

--- Comment #2 from paulo i30817@gmail.com 2011-01-30 00:27:12 CST --- Never mind about that other bug. I traced it to a mod. But this one is real (though apparently harmless, the game runs)

--- Comment #3 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2011-01-30 02:38:18 CST --- The problem is likely that you don't have 32-bit plugins, ia32-libs doesn't install 32-bit gstreamer.

--- Comment #4 from Xavier Vachon xvachon@gmail.com 2011-03-08 11:08:50 CST --- I also experience a gstreamer error with Morrowind and Oblivion, but it is similar to the behaviour described in this bug report : http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25511

--- Comment #5 from butraxz@gmail.com 2013-09-01 02:19:09 CDT --- This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days. Development recommends to check the status on your bug every release or two and let to be known if the bug is still present. If not, mark it fixed. If you are no longer able to put effort to this ticket, you can abandon it.
Is this still an issue with 1.7.1 or higher ?

I changed distributions (Gentoo to Arch) since I commented on this, and I don't get Gstreamer errors anymore when I run either Morrowind or Oblivion.
