Bug ID: 36020 Summary: LEGO Lord of the Rings map not drawn - black background; transparancy issue? Product: Wine Version: 1.7.16 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: andreas.angerer@hotmail.com
Created attachment 48158 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=48158 Black boxes around avatars
In Lego Lord of the Rings, there seems to be a tranparancy issue, since there are areas where there are black boxes around certain pictures. Moreover there is a severe problem when looking at the map (screenshot attached), I suppose this happens because of the same bug, but I'm not sure.

--- Comment #2 from Jarkko K jarkko_korpi@hotmail.com --- Could you debug the game while playing and paste the debug as attachment?
That would be helpfull. You can also try override d3dx9_36 library to see if anything changes.

--- Comment #5 from andreas.angerer@hotmail.com --- Same black boxes around avatars. Cannot open the map because the demo doesn't support that. I've attached a log. Thanks for the help!

--- Comment #8 from Jarkko K jarkko_korpi@hotmail.com --- I cant see the issue you have. My ati driver has a bug that shows in my log, but i find odd that you have the waiting 60s timeout thing there.
What I have noticed it's always a sign that something went wrong.
I used clean prefix. No overrides.
There is some animation which I skipped, then there is another animation which I am not sure if you can skip at all, where archers arrive. After that you can yourself play. There are 2 chars/avatars top right and top left, I cant see the black box issue which you have.

--- Comment #11 from Jarkko K jarkko_korpi@hotmail.com --- One thing came to my mind.
Maybe wine sees your graphic card or it's memory size wrong.
http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys
There is quide how to change memorysize according to your card via regedit.
"VideoMemorySize"
What's your graphic card and memory size?

--- Comment #12 from andreas.angerer@hotmail.com --- Adding the VideoMemorySize key with the correct memory size (256MB). Didn't change anything :(
Thanks for the help anyway

--- Comment #13 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for over a year. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.51 or newer) wine?
