a user noted that he had to use winetricks to update common controls
before ProntoEdit NG's tree control would work.

The app needs mfc42, and refuses to even start unless you do
  sh winetricks vcrun6
To see the tree problem, do File / New Configuration and click OK.
The labels on the tree control to the left will be all ZZZZZZ.
After
  sh winetricks cc580
they appear correct.

confirming in wine 1.1.10
The winetricks-app is now comctl32 and not cc580

It seems the non-Unicode Text of the field is interpreted as Unicode...

Something unrelated to this bug? File a new one for that please.

And attach +tid,+treeview for initial problem (for example running earlier
version with comctl32 from current wine).

No update for over 900 days. Is this still an issue in 1.5.30 or is this
abandoned ?

Dan, the application starts in wine 1.5.30 and I can't see the ZZZ problem, the
treeviews seem correct. Can you retry, please?

Tested d567d258dabe018c61c6659f9b42497bc6fbd6b3  ProntoProEditNG_v2.1.8.zip
Prerequisite 'winetricks mfc42'.
With wine-1.4, it crashes.  With wine-1.5.30-30, it works fine.
Fixed!
