After a competed installation of Wine 3.0 on macOS 10.13.3, Kernel-Version: Darwin 17.4.0 and entering command of "winecfg" together with some other messages "Error: unsupported compressor 8" have been indicated (see attached file).

Yes as this isn’t a wine issue but an Apple issue.

--- Comment #7 from Gcenx gcenx83@gmail.com --- The message is a none issue and can be ignored, this only affects 32Bit binaries not 64Bit binaries.
When wine is installed directly into /usr/local you won’t see this message (seems like there’s a whitelist of some kind). Unfortunately as the vast majority of macOS users use brew as there package manager that location can not be used.
Anyone using macports-wine (my macports overlay) and installs one of the provided wine-* packages won’t see this issue.
