Bug #: 29782 Summary: ZEMAX lens data editor is not treated as a popup of the main window on Mac OS X Product: Wine Version: 1.4-rc1 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Mac OS X Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: user32 AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: ehoover@mines.edu Classification: Unclassified
I don't have a Mac, but I have installed Wine and ZEMAX on several Macs for people and the lens data editor does not properly work as a popup that stays on top of the main window. This used to be a problem on Linux (Bug #21380), but the issue was resolved some time ago. I have had these people install several different versions of XQuartz and none of them change the behavior of the window.

--- Comment #1 from Dmitry Timoshkov dmitry@baikal.ru 2012-02-03 20:14:57 CST --- Perhaps you could try to figure out which patch has fixed the bug 21380? That would help understanding what doesn't work properly under Mac.

Ok, finally got around to doing this. I had to run the regression test manually (ugg!), but here's the commit that fixed Bug #21380: --- commit 7b3a00c09ece0031d2fddd0d3e79c7187f95700e Author: Alexandre Julliard julliard@winehq.org Date: Tue Feb 23 12:33:01 2010 +0100

--- Comment #6 from Gijs Vermeulen gijsvrm@gmail.com --- Erich, is this something you can still reproduce? Or is there a way I could test this myself?

--- Comment #7 from Erich E. Hoover erich.e.hoover@gmail.com --- Unfortunately I no longer have access to a ZEMAX license, so I'm going going to say this falls under the 'abandoned' category.
