uname -svrpio Linux 2.6.30-gentoo-r4 #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Jul 27 02:35:42 EEST 2009 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
Crysis Warhead is crashing every time it loads a map, around 70-80 % of loading.
I managed to load a map once, but I guess it was pure luck as when I tried afterwards it kept crashing.
I've attached the terminal output.

Changing resolution, enabling/disabling VSync or changing options between Low (Minimal) and Very High (Enthusiast) don't fix the crash.
Also, when a map *did* load everything was on Very High. Since then I've tried opening that map 30 times with the same options I had then but it always crashes. Hope that helps.

--- Comment #4 from Rico kgbricola@web.de 2009-08-22 11:57:53 --- Did it work with an earlier wine version? If so, please try the patch attached on bug 18799 . You could also try your own regression test then.
Which OffscreenRenderingMode are you using (see http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys)?

I'm using fbo mode. I haven't tried it with an earlier version of wine. Also, with the current version of wine/drivers I managed to open a map once which seemed to work fine (mapname: cave). But now no map will open at all, it freezes while loading.
Trying the patch now.

--- Comment #6 from Bontas Marcel telliangun@gmail.com 2009-08-22 16:55:23 --- I've tried out that patch. It's wonderful: maps load now in Crysis Warhead. I also get no more crashes in Crysis.
The game works now, even if it has some performance / graphics problems.

--- Comment #10 from siege_machine@hotmail.com 2009-10-11 01:21:55 --- I have noticed this too. I was using wine 1.1.27 at the time. It crashes after the first cutscene and I don't get any strange terminal messages. I had quite the fight just trying to get the game to run in the first place even though it runs flawlessly on my Windows.
