Bug ID: 40954 Summary: flashy bug in world of tanks Product: WineHQ Apps Database Version: unspecified Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: appdb-unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: vinicius343cesconetto@gmail.com Distribution: ---
*I installed WoT by PoL.* (The installation script is in this link: https://www.playonlinux.com/en/app-1592-World_Of_Tanks.html)
Hello, i'm getting a bug after i login, in the garage. as in the screenshot, it keeps flashing and the upper menu of everything dont show(when i get to the options menu it dont show the tabs too), also after the login some rewards or adverts dont show(i know they are there because i cant rotate the vehicles, so i press esc a few times and after it i can). the only modification i did was to change "/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/WorldOfTanks/drive_c/Games/World_of_Tanks/res/cef/cef_browser_process.exe" to "cef_browser_processREMOVED.exe" because i couldnt enter the garage (crash after login).
I also tried to do some bug fixes that i found here but nothing changed.

PlayOnLinux is not supported by wine. Please retest in plain wine, without PoL, and attach the terminal output.

ok. i thought that anybody that could help me with this and can use this site properly could do the tiny job of reading the script of installation on pol and get the entire information about the installation. i just use pol because it keeps everything in its place and i dont need to really install wine in my pc.

--- Comment #5 from winetest@luukku.com --- Since you are using POL. Does changing wine version into wine-staging change anything? Also wine has a new build of wine 1.9.21. Should be already available via POL.
Please retest.

Anyway this bug cant be solved as fixed. Maybe abandoned since it sounds it's impossible to test currently.

What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |HASH.DuOrden@gmail.com
--- Comment #9 from hash HASH.DuOrden@gmail.com --- I'd like to provide whatever information is needed, I'm on Gentoo, gcc-5.4, OSSv4, wine-2.0-rc3. If I compile wine without staging, WoT starts but gets really "flashy", flickering like hell and gets more and more "flickerer" to the point where it's rarely shows game and most time screen is black. As a temporal "fix" I can Alt+Enter to sort of reset this cycle. The problem is that I seems cannot use wine-staging as WoT 99% of time crashes on start with wine build wine staging, I'm still investigating the problem, it seems revolve around sound but that's, I think, is for another bug.
