BluOS Controller v. 2.12.2 build 385: Crashes immediately after start
The BluOS Controller Installer is available here:
http://www.bluesound.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/BluOS_Controller_install...
Previous versions of this software work fine with Wine.
The program does not crash every time it is loaded, but it does crash most times. If at first the issue cannot be reproduced, please try again several times. If the program loads successfully, closing it will also produce a crash.
Backtrace and screenshot attached.

--- Comment #2 from Randy forums@showalterdesign.com --- I forgot to mention that this doesn't happen when the same build is run on Windows 10 (or presumably any other version of Windows supported by the BluOS Controller application.)

--- Comment #3 from Fabian Maurer dark.shadow4@web.de --- Can't confirm. Tried it 20 times, opens and closes fine.
Did you try it in a clean wineprefix?
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43428
--- Comment #4 from Randy forums@showalterdesign.com --- I first experienced this problem in an older version of Wine, so I uninstalled with apt-get remove wine, then reinstalled using the instructions found here:
https://wiki.winehq.org/Ubuntu
I then reinstalled the BluOS Controller.
Should this process not have given me a clean Wine prefix?
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43428
--- Comment #5 from Fabian Maurer dark.shadow4@web.de --- I don't think uninstalling wine removes the whole .wine folder in your home directory, so no. This folder contains all your installed programs and configuration for this WINEPREFIX, could you rename it temporarily (or delete it, if you don't care about your wine data/programs) and then reinstall and retry BluOS again?
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43428
--- Comment #6 from Randy forums@showalterdesign.com --- As you suggested, I deleted my .wine directory and reinstalled BluOS Controller build 385. The problem persists.
I am having the same problem on two completely separate machines. One is running Xubuntu 14.04 and the other, Ubuntu 16.04. This can't just be me.

--- Comment #7 from Fabian Maurer dark.shadow4@web.de --- Did you already try it with wine 2.13?
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43428
--- Comment #8 from Randy forums@showalterdesign.com --- No, I have not. Should I?
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43428
--- Comment #9 from Fabian Maurer dark.shadow4@web.de --- Well, it would be helpful, maybe the bug already got fixed.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43428
--- Comment #10 from Randy forums@showalterdesign.com --- Sure, I'll try that and let you know. I didn't do this before now, because it was not included in the instructions for reporting bugs on winehq.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43428
--- Comment #11 from Fabian Maurer dark.shadow4@web.de --- It's not required, I just think it's a good idea to test it with the latest version.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43428
--- Comment #12 from Randy forums@showalterdesign.com --- PLEASE NOTE: I'm currently investigating this issue as a bug in the BluOS Controller application. It turns out, the behavior seen when running under Wine is also seen under Windows after all. It's just not as frequent, so initially, it appeared to be Wine-related, but it may not be. At this time, I am uncertain.
Please expect this bug to be closed once the next version of the application is released, but also, please don't be surprised if it isn't. If you believe I should close this bug and open a new one if, when the new version of BluOS Controller is available, it doesn't resolve this issue, please let me know. I will be happy to oblige. I just don't want to lose the documentation accumulated on this bug report so far.

--- Comment #13 from Randy forums@showalterdesign.com --- Confirmed: The behavior described in this bug report is the result of a bug in the BluOs Controller application, which has been corrected in the latest build 386. Marking this as "RESOLVED-NOTOURBUG"
Sorry for the inconvenience!
