Some of the letters are missing from the high score table or when I choose to
quit the game.
Terminal output doesn't show anything related.
Installing native d3dx9* libraries doesn't help.
The problem doesn't exist with the CSMT patchset.

An addition: the number of missing letters varies between runs. Sometimes only
2-3 letters are missing, the next time I start the game almost 50% of the
letters are missing.

The patch which fixes the issue for me:

I can't reproduce the problem in wine-6.15-241-gf33bf35d9a3.

(yes, the game was removed from Steam a couple years ago).
