This regression was brought to my attention on IRC earlier and I had already reverted it.

Hi Henri,
Thanks you for your help, i add this option in Direct3D and there isn't graphical glitches in game.
You can see the screen in attachments but the is always slowly by moment even with low graphic options.

The frame rate is pretty impressive and smooth in some places, but when it gets busy it can get very slow. Also, you come across a point where the game is clearly loading the next area or starting to render it in the background. Game is still unplayable due to mouse issues mind.

"AlwaysOffscreen" = "enabled" is a very good fix. Didn't know about this option until now.
It was introduced in Wine 1.3.27, so it's very new. There's of course still a real bug somewhere, this is just a workaround.

Ah that would explain it then! I've replaced my 1.3.27 test data and upped the game to a bronze rating. As workaround's go, it's a pretty decent one, I have the feeling however that my gfx cards power (being a gtx 580) masks how slow it probably will be for a lot of people.
Again, thank you very much, it's almost playable :)

Rolling with WINE 1.3.36 and the game **is** very playable on a lowly 8800GTX (with the graphical fixes and raw-input patch). I compiled WINE-git with the -march=opteron flag and it's made a big difference! The game is very playable. Version 1.3.36 of WINE works really well with this game...

I have the same issue. Even with git version wine-1.7.8-42-gf50ead6
Movie part starts fine, when game starts there is a white circle that takes up 1/8th of the screen top right corner. I can see a room but no characters, can somewhat move around but it is choppy and client freezes eventually.
I have Video Card: ATI Radeon HD7870 OS: Gentoo Wine version: wine-1.7.8-42-gf50ead6
user.reg contains:
[Software\Wine\Direct3D] "AlwaysOffScreen"="enabled" "StrictDrawOrdering"="enabled"

--- Comment #25 from Jarkko K jarkko_korpi@hotmail.com --- Can anyone update the game status?
I debuged it today and noticed that the game tries to start dx11 (or10). You have to disable those, because not enough support on wine...
but still I have same issues as before.
Can anyone confirm this works on ati?

--- Comment #26 from Jarkko K jarkko_korpi@hotmail.com --- Rodrigo,
I now know why it doesnt work for me and for you.
I have the same issue with tomb raider 2013.
I made a hack into wine that it sees more memory available.
The issue is with ati's drivers which report too low value.

That's what the support forums are for!! Bugzilla is for well... bug reports... See the big "Forums" button at the top RHS of the webpage :-) Please start of your post the "right way" by actually giving some important details: like your OS version, graphics card, graphics driver version, what medium you are installing the game from (Steam, etc.), what version of Wine (or Wine-Staging) you have installed.
