I am running VirtualBox on Vista, created Ubuntu 8.10 guest. Internet works well in Ubuntu 8.10. Wine 1.1.16 works ok with games. Problem arise when I try to run games that require internet. It seems that Wine in Ubuntu guest can't access the internet. I have tried the method of changing /etc/hosts without success.
Please advise.

Firefox operates normal in Ubuntu 8.10 guest.

I tried Crossfire, failed to load URL for the laucher for the game. I tried Rappelz, failed to start loading the laucher for the game. Both games are MMORPG that requires internet to start the game.

I am not sure about this. I am running 32bit Ubuntu guest, under 64-bit Vista. I don't know if I still need to install the 32bit library into Ubuntu. Everything works well with internet, except the programs that runs under wine.
