Summary: AutoCAD Mechanical 2005 PL: Fails to install Product: Wine Version: 1.1.17 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: msi AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: lukasz.wojnilowicz@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=20001) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=20001) output from installing Wine 1.1.17
I'm using Wine 1.1.17 (compiled from source using gcc version 4.3.2 20081105 (Red Hat 4.3.2-7) ) on Fedora 10 i386. I installed: gecko, dotnet20, gdi, msxml3 through winetricks.
The problem is that AutoCAD Mechanical 2005 won't install. The installation starts and in the middle of copying files crashes without error message.
In terminal there were these two errors:
err:richedit:ReadStyleSheet ReadStyleSheet: skipping optional destination err:msi:msi_dialog_create_controls no handler for element type L"Billboard"
and also
Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x00000024 in 32-bit code (0x614429fa).

Please avoid .7z format, use .gz/bz2.

--- Comment #2 from NSLW lukasz.wojnilowicz@gmail.com 2009-03-22 13:35:17 --- I stoped to install AutoCAD when log file went over 1.1 GB after 40 mins. The setup was still initializing. I think the problem with +relay is the same as in bug Bug #12563. I think if i could delay +relay i could get to the point where the setup fails. Is there any other way to take valuable log?

--- Comment #3 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-09-22 14:00:45 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.1.29 or newer) wine?

It isn't needed. That bug is already fixed in Wine 1.2-rc2
