Summary: When running wing commander 4 dvd edition quartz does not use xrandr to switch to fullscreen mode. Product: Wine Version: CVS/GIT Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: quartz AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: jcarthew@mbarron.net
Created an attachment (id=18724) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=18724) Image showing resized movie playback window.
When running wing commander 4 dvd edition the game runs fullscreen using xrandr to change to a desktop resolution of 640x480. However when the ingame cinematic movies play via quartz they resize the screen back to the system default resolution (2560x1600 in my case) and the movie appears in the top left corner of the screen in a 640x480 overlay. Correct behaviour should be the game stays at the ingame resolution of 640x480 and doesn't switch using xrandr for movie playback. Else the movie should be stretched to fullscreen.

--- Comment #1 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-01-20 02:40:32 --- Removing deprecated CVS/GIT version tag. Please retest in current git. If the bug is still present in today's wine, but was not present in some earlier version of wine, please update version field to earliest known version of wine that had the bug. Thanks!

--- Comment #2 from james carthew jcarthew@mbarron.net 2009-01-20 20:46:08 --- This is a really old bug. It's been around for as long as I've been testing Wing Commander 4 dvd edition with movies. Basically it's existed since movie support first started to run, even when there were other issues with audio/video syncing.

--- Comment #3 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-07-21 14:07:24 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.1.26 or newer) wine?
