Terminal log.

Corel Painter IX.5 freezes immediately after launch. There are just blank
windows where palettes and tools should be.

This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 6
months. Is this still an issue in current (1.1.33 or newer) wine?

Yes, it's still an issue, nothing has changed. I just posted new test results
on AppDB.

It still doesn't work in 1.2rc1. There are rumors that if you copy all registry
keys from Windows, Painter up to version 9 works. To check it, I used an
unofficial portable version, which doesn't require registry access. It drawn
all toolbars correctly and didn't freeze, but two white squares appeared and
stole focus from the app. Compiz shows that the app does respond.

Those squares disappear on pushing ESC key!
But versions X and XI experience horrible lags when cursor is over the canvas.
The cursor isn't drawn over the canvas (see attached screenshot)
