Doom Builder 2 is a .Net 2.0 application which used to work fairly well in Wine
1.3.36 and .37

Now with 1.4, the app still installs fine (after winetricks dotnet20) however
opening a map displays an error "Unable to initialize Direct3D video device"
and the following terminal output:

err:d3d:context_create wglSwapIntervalEXT failed to set swap interval 0 for
context 0x200cc8, last error 0x591

If the application used to worked with a previous Wine version, please perform
a regression test:

I can't reproduce the problem here, tested with Wine-1.4 and 1.5.0 (+winetricks
dotnet20).

Fedora 16 x86
Nvidia 250 / driver 290.10

Right you are. I get the error on my desktop with ATI graphics. I tried on my
laptop with Intel graphics and it works fine.

Let me know if you still want that regression test, but I am guessing this is
an issue with the latest ATI driver rather than Wine.

You can find that out if you try the application with the previous
(known-to-be-working) Wine version.
If it fails then it is likely the driver update that's caused the problem.
There's no point doing the regression test in that case.

No, this particular issue is resolved.

The app still doesn't work perfectly, it never has, but the exact symptoms vary
from version to version and it gets better with most releases.

I'll close this bug.
