As of wine-1.3.15-76-g76645c5, the Office 2003 installer crashes immediately on startup. This worked in wine 1.3.1. I will do a regression test shortly.

It is a slipstreamed copy provided by my employer, so it doesn't require a registration key; perhaps that's the difference.

Tried installing in wine-1.4, had this crash, upgraded wine on the basis that the bug was claimed to be fixed in wine-1.5, and experienced the exact same behaviour with wine-1.6-rc2.
