Summary: New distributions submitted in test reports are added even if the admin deletes them when processing Product: WineHQ Apps Database Version: unspecified Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: appdb-unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: dimesio@earthlink.net
Users have a penchant for submitting "new" distributions that already have entries in the AppDB (bug 24497). The form admins and maintainers see when processing test reports notes when the user has added a new distribution, and states that it will be added to the database unless the admin/maintainer selects an existing one from the list. However, even if I do select a distribution from the list and delete the "new" distribution from the test form when processing it, the "new" distribution is still added to the database and has to be manually removed afterwards.

--- Comment #3 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net --- Still an issue, and the problem is even worse than originally described: the distribution is not changed in the test report, so it can't simply be deleted; the admin has to move the test report to another distribution (or delete it) first.

--- Comment #4 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net --- Commit c3635c89ab31de3a272aab97bda350d65f224837 should fix the additional problem mentioned in comment 3, though not the original problem. New distributions are still incorrectly added to the database, but without any tests attached, and test reports are added with the correct distribution information. Not yet fixed, but IMO somewhat easier to deal with.
