If I'm running, say, the wine test suite in the background,
Firefox 3 in wine slows to an unusable crawl,
whereas native Firefox 3 purrs along like a tiger still.

I guess that's the kind of thing a kernel module might
help with.  Maybe I should try giving wineserver a
priority boost.

Also happens when simply building wine in the background.

I just tried with 4 instances of yes running, along with virtualbox running XP,
and firefox 3.6 in wine 1.2-rc3. Seems okay to me. Reopen if you've got a
specific recipe to reproduce.

Works great for me now, but this is on an i7.  I think before I was 
on a lesser machine, maybe an Athlon 64.  I'll try it there...

No.but plenty of CPU load...
