debug logs were enormous, but Acrobat Reader 8 for Windows is a free download. This is a easy to duplicate bug.

--- Comment #2 from Lei Zhang thestig@google.com 2008-05-27 10:21:05 --- Acrobat Reader 8 installs just fine with today's wine-git from about a day ago and a clean .wine directory.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13372
--- Comment #3 from foobard jens@porup.com 2008-05-27 10:24:07 --- interesting. It doesn't install in 1.0-rc2.
how can I tell if my .wine is "clean" or not? is there a way to clean it beside 'rm -rf .wine'?

--- Comment #4 from James Hawkins truiken@gmail.com 2008-05-27 10:26:50 --- Lei said git as of yesterday, not 1.0-rc2 which was released last friday.

--- Comment #5 from foobard jens@porup.com 2008-05-27 11:29:09 --- well, i moved my .wine out of the way and let wine create a new .wine directory. Acrobat Reader 8 still suffers from from bug 9519 (EULA doesn't display and can't be accepted) but this division by zero error goes away.
What does this mean? What kind of configuration in my .wine directory would cause this sort of division by zero error?
More importantly, how can I avoid this sort of problem in the future? Is there a winehq link somewhere about having a clean .wine, and what that means?
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13372
--- Comment #6 from James Hawkins truiken@gmail.com 2008-05-27 11:34:28 --- foobard, the clean wineprefix isn't the issue. The fix is in git, not the release! Either update to git or wait till the next release.

--- Comment #7 from foobard jens@porup.com 2008-05-27 11:49:46 --- Sorry, I wasn't clear.
I re-tested this bug using a clean .wine in 1.0-rc2.
With my old .wine, I get a division by zero error.
With a new .wine, the division by zero error goes away.

--- Comment #8 from James Hawkins truiken@gmail.com 2008-05-27 12:28:07 --- foobard, you aren't reading what we're saying. Please carefully read comment #6. wine-1.0-rc2 is not git. git is the latest code available, code that is not available in 1.0-rc2.

--- Comment #9 from foobard jens@porup.com 2008-05-27 14:55:27 --- Do you believe that in the next release it will be possible to install Acrobat Reader 8 successfully without having to use a new .wine directory?
That is, the changes in git now cater for "unclean" .wine directories?

wineprefix is now updated with each wine run, but if you've botched it in some weird way, we can't always account for that.
Installs fine here, resolving fixed.
