--- Comment #1 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-01-09 15:24:43 --- Is this still an issue in current (0.9.52 or newer) wine? If so, can you attach a screenshot/terminal output? Is there a demo/download of this?

No. In newest wine this bug is fixed. But if I want to play I must run Total Commander and in TC run a Ragnarok. I don't know why I must do that. If I run RO directly from console I get:
[xarion@localhost wine]$ wine /mnt/win_d/program\ files/Ragnarok\ Online/2007-10-09a_Sakexe_v10.exe err:wineboot:ProcessWindowsFileProtection WFP: L"jscript.dll" error 0x10000 err:wineboot:ProcessWindowsFileProtection WFP: L"vbscript.dll" error 0x10000 err:wineboot:ProcessWindowsFileProtection WFP: L"scrrun.dll" error 0x10000 err:wineboot:ProcessWindowsFileProtection WFP: L"dispex.dll" error 0x10000 err:wineboot:ProcessWindowsFileProtection WFP: L"scrobj.dll" error 0x10000 err:wineboot:ProcessWindowsFileProtection WFP: L"wshext.dll" error 0x10000 err:wineboot:ProcessWindowsFileProtection WFP: L"cscript.exe" error 0x10000 err:wineboot:ProcessWindowsFileProtection WFP: L"wscript.exe" error 0x10000 err:wineboot:ProcessWindowsFileProtection WFP: L"wshom.ocx" error 0x10000 err:wineboot:ProcessWindowsFileProtection WFP: L"wshcon.dll" error 0x10000 err:seh:setup_exception stack overflow 8 bytes in thread 0009 eip b7e043a0 esp 00230ff8 stack 0x231000-0x340000 [xarion@localhost wine]$
I have wine-0.9.52-339-gd179665 (latest version from git). In addition is a small problem with window where is displayed my nick, HP, SP, etc. Background where is displayed my nick sometimes becomes transparent. It's not a big bug and it not disturbing in game. The game is freeware. You can download it from there: http://hosted.filefront.com/Adammiku/2144538 You must download all of files on this page. The list of servers where you can test a wine are there: http://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=listserver&rate=low&order_typ...

Resolving fixed then. If you can run from RO directly in windows, please file a bug for that (assuming there isn't one filed already).
[xarion@localhost wine]$ wine /mnt/win_d/program\ files/Ragnarok\ Online/2007-10-09a_Sakexe_v10.exe
Don't run apps this way. cd to the directory first, then run it directly. See: http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ

This sounds like bug 11085. It should be fixed in today's git.
If you have any other bugs, please file new ones.

This bug isn't fixed :/ I have newest git version and the bug is still present.
I have a request. Actually I must play in resolution 800x600 (windowed mode - set in game) because if I set in game 1024x768 I can see only a title bar of window. Ressolution of my desktop is 1024x768.

What error are you referring to? You said yourself that original problem that you reported is fixed now. One problem per bug report!

HUH? Is it present in the current Wine. Or is it fixed? Bug can not be "up-to-date"!

In comment #4, the bug from comments #2 and #3, has been marked as fixed, but I still see transparent background under my nickname. I know that I place two errors in my topic. It was my error... :( I will be take care about it.

--- Comment #10 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2008-01-10 17:17:52 --- Invalid. 3 problems per bug! Next time _CLEARLY_ define _WHAT IS THE PROBLEM_! A _SINGLE_ problem! Then _TEST_ that _ONLY ONE_problem with removed ~/.wine directory and reinstalled your program on _NEWEST ONE VERSION_.
And only then create a bug if the problem is still there. Repeat for each problem you have.

Closing invalid.
