--- Comment #3 from Béla Gyebrószki gyebro69@gmail.com --- Does it look better if you install native d3dx9 libraries?
From the screenshot it looks like a similar issue to bug #37073.
Can you disable in-game anti-aliasing to see if that changes anything?

Yes.
From the screenshot it looks like a similar issue to bug #37073.
I don't think it's somehow related.

Most likely D3DX_FILTER_BOX is needed.
The filtering algorithm is unlikely to matter for the issue in the subject i.e. black where it's supposed to be transparent.
Can you attach a d3dx log?

--- Comment #7 from David Gámiz Jiménez david.gamiz@gmail.com --- Hi,
In my case, at least. With the latest version 4.2. If you restart the game after configuring, the lawn will look good. If you modify the graphics values during the game, it's lawn gets corrupted. Only rest resolve the volumetric lights bug, with this this game would work almost perfect.
Thanks community and devs!
Best regards,

--- Comment #8 from David Gámiz Jiménez david.gamiz@gmail.com --- Hi again,
I can confirm that reset the game after configure lawn distance view, work well. But one important thing. Vsync should be off, if it are activated the lawn showed with broken mask transparency even after reset game.
It looks like the remedy engine is very sensitive to all that change to final compose buffer.
Best regards! :)

--- Comment #9 from temp82@luukku.com --- I don't own this game and I don't also like games with so dark envirioments, but I think it could be worth to test Alan's games with more recent wine.
