Bug #: 34557 Summary: Lemmings Revolution: can't rotate playing field Product: Wine Version: 1.7.2 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-dinput AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: mondane.woodworker@gmail.com Classification: Unclassified
As of 1.7.x, the mouse moves normal now, but rotating the playing field isn't possible. Before only rotating to the left was broken ( http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20582 ).
How to rotate:
- Start the game and choose a level - When the timer is started, click and hold the right mouse button - The cursor is changed to a hand - Move the mouse while holding the button to rotate
You'll probably notice not much happening.
After releasing the button, it also seems the mouse cursor can't move to all positions on screen.

--- Comment #1 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for over a year. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.37 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.37 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).

I ran the game first full screen and later with Wine set to emulate a virtual desktop. This is what I observe when clicking the right mouse button to rotate the level:
Full screen ==== After clicking right mouse button, it appears the mouse cursor is stuck. The level only rotates one way. To stop rotating, I have to right click again. Now, the cursor can't go to all corners of the level anymore, as if a hidden boundary is added.
Emulated desktop (with capture mouse) ==== After clicking right mouse button, it appears the mouse cursor is stuck. The level only rotates one way. The mouse cursor also is uncaptured and I get the OS mouse cursor outside the game. The stop rotating, I have to enter the game again and click right. It's very hard to do this, the mouse cursor in game doesn't listen to the position I enter the game window. This feels like the hidden boundary issue in full screen.
running:
Wine 1.7.38 Ubuntu 15.04 64bit

Could you retest this there is a regression bug fixed in recent wine versions that prevented mouse from working correctly. You should be fine with 1.7.55 or newer to test this.

--- Comment #4 from super_man@post.com --- This bug is fixed to me. You need to use right mouse button (default most of users?), press it on and move mouse and it should scroll the view. Both sides work.
wine 1.9.6-git.
