Summary: Wrong Platinum Rating, the tester hasn't tested it the other way. Product: Wine Version: 0.9.57. Platform: Other URL: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version &iId=9470 OS/Version: other Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: bartolsthoorn@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=11435) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=11435) The result of: WINEDEBUG=+winstation,+wtsapi wine TeamViewer.exe &>output.txt
My log contains the output I get when I try to run TeamViewer3. It's a program for remote desktop accesing. At the appdb it has platinum rating, but this is not right because it only works one way. You can acces other peoples desktop but they can't acces you.
This is what I did while the trace was running. - Starting Teamviewer.exe - Acces by another computer - Closed the connection on my side. - Closed the program.
The other person who is trying to acces your desktop won't see any display. So platinum rating isn't right.
I'm running openSUSE 10.3, GNOME, with the newest wine.
(sorry for my bad english)

I check this bug report due to this call: http://www.winehq.org/wwn/354#A way YOU can help Wine!
I can confirm this bug in wine-1.1.10 using clean WINEPREFIX.
I tried to connect to the TeamViewer running in wine from a VirtualBox running windows. This attempt failed.
But I was able to connect to the windows machine using TeamViewer running in wine.

With OS=NT4.0 It starts fine but the mouse and keyboard input on the parts not managed by wine (pure linux)! The File transfer works.
With OS=XP It doesn't works I think 'cause stub functions (I have seen some patch rejected for OpenInputDesktop).

--- Comment #10 from Daniel Stiefe1maier caliga@arcor.de 2009-12-17 07:20:18 --- The reason why it Works with NT setting is that TeamViewer does not call OpenInputDesktop() in that case. But this is not a good solution, as other features suffer from the NT setting.
However, if OpenInputDesktop() would return anything else but 0, TeamViewer would be satisfied and continue.

--- Comment #25 from orogor@gmail.com 2013-07-15 08:47:44 CDT --- Hello
Just currious when the patch will be implemented inside wine?
Bartosz patch should work, as it s based on the same set of patches i used and which worked for me, which were yet provided by a third person, and which i also guess worked for him.
I bet that this bug also affect multiples application without a bug report associated to them (i guess opening a desktop is somethign quie common on windows :) . And there s the patch there, tested and submited a few years ago.

--- Comment #28 from lilydjwg@gmail.com 2013-10-23 23:01:06 CDT --- Hi, this patch seems to work here for TM 2009 and TM 2013 (a similar messenger by Tencent, and have the same problem as QQ).
TM will correctly detect that there has been how long since last user action with the Wine environment. That is, after exactly how long I set in its config, if I don't interact with any application inside that Wine ennvironment, it becomes "away" as expected, and can resume to "online" when I again interact with some application inside that Wine ennvironment. It won't become "away" if set so.

Hi lilydjwg,
Glad to see you here :)
Thanks for testing, could you also test the below series? http://source.winehq.org/patches/data/99942 http://source.winehq.org/patches/data/99943
Apply both patch, then run ./tools/make_request in the Wine source directory, then compile. (It won't compile before running ./tools/make_request )
