[Bug 17740] New: Wine -> Programs: Start menu entries not created

The installer file of IMatch creates a Start Menu entry when running in Windows
2000 Professional (no matter if natively installed or running in a VirtualBox),
but does not in WINE. In WINE only 2 desktop icons are created: "IMatch
3.6.lnk" with the MS Windows icon on it, and "IMatch 3.6" with the usual IMatch
icon.

Did you really used such an old Wine version? Or was it wine-1.1.16?

I have currently just WINE 1.1.19 on Ubuntu 8.10 (KDE 4), wherein the menu in
"Wine -> Programs" remains unchanged. Nevertheless the Windows Start menu
folder in C: (accessing via Linux file system ~/.wine/drive_c/users/...) seems
to be built correctly. Additionally 2 desktop icons ("IMatch 3.6" and "IMatch
3.6.lnk") were created, the first one with the correct icon for the program.

Please upgrade to latest Wine version (wine-1.1.26) and retest.

With WINE 1.1.26 I see teh same behaviour as previously reported. In KDE's
"startmenu" --> Wine --> Programme --> ... there is only "Zubehör" -->
"Editor". But the desktop icon starts the program as requested.

Now using Ubuntu 9.10 and WINE 1.1.41, the start menu entries are correctly
created. Hence I set this bug to resolved/worksforme.
