Screenshot of the Problem

As you can see on the attached picture, the labels have a gray background, but
they should be transparent.
(also some characters are displayed wrong, looks like the \r but thats another
bug)

still present in wine-1.2-rc1
(tested with the 32 and 64 bit version of msse)

The current version of Security Essentials is a bit different as seen in the
attached screenshot so I can't be sure the bug is fixed or not.

André, maybe you have a copy of the older program version?
