Bug ID: 40557 Summary: KSP Trajectory Optimization Tool (MATLAB Runtime (MCR)) crashes at launch Product: Wine Version: 1.9.8 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Mac OS X Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: clay@boobah.com
Created attachment 54396 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=54396 crash log
I'm trying to run the KSP Trajectory Optimization Tool, which uses the MATLAB Compiler Runtime.
Installing the MCR completes successfully, but when I launch the KSP Trajectory Optimization tool, it crashes immediately. I've attached the log.
I'm not sure if this is a problem with the MCR, or with KSP TOT.
To reproduce, follow the installation instruction at http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/33568-winmac-ksp-trajec...
Download and install the MATLAB Runtime: http://www.mathworks.com/supportfiles/downloads/R2014b/deployment_files/R201...
Download and run the KSP TOT: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/29126891/KSPTOT.zip
I'm running wine-1.9.8 (Staging) on OS X 10.11.4

--- Comment #2 from Michael Müller michael@fds-team.de --- The bug is not OS X 64 bit specific and I was able to reproduce it on Linux. Using native VC++ runtime (winetricks vcrun2012) works around the problem and the application starts fine. Setting component to msvcrt.

--- Comment #3 from clay@boobah.com clay@boobah.com --- Ah, didn't know about winetricks to update the VC++ runtime; I did that and it does seem to be working now.
