Bug #: 30711 Summary: NtLockFile I/O error with Diablo III Product: Wine Version: 1.5.4 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: nephallum_amathor@yahoo.com Classification: Unclassified
I am able to very easily install D3, the launcher works wonderfully(honestly, less problems then i encountered on a native Win7 or WinXP64 boot LOL) however, I get the following error after pressing play on the launcher (or running Diablo III.exe -launch directly)
fixme:ntdll:NtLockFile I/O completion on lock not implemented yet Segmentation fault(core dumped)
I'm using Wine 1.5.4 self-compiled from source from the site. Noone else seems to have these problems. I am going to attempt the reset.patch and the 4 other patches included on the Diablo III AppDB page, and report back if i have any success, however I just started compiling it again so it may take awhile. If these patches to fix the problem completly i'd recommend including them in the next version of Wine.

--- Comment #2 from Alexey Loukianov mooroon2@mail.ru 2012-05-18 21:41:18 CDT --- Josh, next time you would report bugs for some app to Wine's Bugzilla please make sure to link the number your bug report had been assigned to the application's AppDB page, there's a special form there intended for this purposes.
As for this bug, as far as I know, you had resolved it to be not a bug in Wine, but rather a bug (or incompatibility) in nVIDIA drivers, accordingly to the comment you had posted here: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=25953#Comme...
If that's the case, could you please resolve this bug as RESOLVED NOTABUG, so it could be marked as closed? Thanks in advance.

--- Comment #3 from Josh nephallum_amathor@yahoo.com 2012-05-19 02:20:41 CDT --- This was infact NOT a WINE bug, it was a NVidia graphics driver glitch causing the game to crash.
