Where do you find a download link of this game demo ?

--- Comment #3 from Andrew Nguyen arethusa26@gmail.com 2010-08-28 18:29:26 CDT --- I used the download from http://www.ausgamers.com/files/details/html/1418 and tested it with wine-1.3.1-267-g7ab48e8. I was unable to reproduce a crash, for what it's worth.

--- Comment #4 from Andrew Nguyen arethusa26@gmail.com 2010-08-28 18:32:40 CDT --- Checking the download, I suspect it might not be the correct thing, and there may not be a demo for the game, which I suppose is why I asked.

Yes it's a much older version (2001). Actually, it is the demo i tried with no problems before buying the game. The bug is for latest version : "1946" 4.08 (2007+)

--- Comment #6 from John Haywards normandy@web.de 2010-08-29 04:18:26 CDT --- There are several versions with and without copy-protection. Maybe that's the problem. For me, the budget-version (without cd-copy-prot.) works perfectly.
Also, you may try the patch 4.09, which solved some issues: http://www.pcgamesdatabase.de/download_info.php?did=1879&PHPSESSID=d2 (I think that's the one I used...)

--- Comment #7 from Paoh paoh@free.fr 2010-10-30 01:50:16 CDT --- After check, Replay/Loadup edition (2010) DVD is version 4.07 ! So it needs to be update either to 4.08 or 4.09. Both versions have worked right away with 1.3.1 and subsequent Wine versions.
This bug is affecting an obsolete version of IL. So my "Garbage" test is not relevant : should be removed.
