--- Comment #2 from Mark Hoza mark@woodenflutemaker.com 2007-08-29 16:15:27 --- I am running PCLinuxOS-2007 and accidentally downloaded Internet Explorer 6.0 and installed it with WINE before I read the relevant help FAQ at WINE HQ saying NOT to install Explorer as it can break WINE.
Well, it DID break WINE and I am no longer able to use it. AND the uninstaller in Software Manager won't uninstall IE6.
I tried a complete uninstall of Wine from Synaptic (also the wine library, by the way) and re-downloading it and re-installing it and it didn't make any difference. When I try to Execute a program from within Program Manager wine shuts down when I open the folder that contains IE6. (I think that's why it shuts down, but I really don't know what is going on with this.)
Is there anything that I am able to do to get IE6 out of my machine all together?
Thanks.
