Can't open Microsft excel or word in wine 1.4.gives me an error each time.I use
Ubuntu 11.1o and I installed office 2007

Not critical.

Opening and saving Excel files works fine here in 1.5.1, and it worked fine in
1.4, too.

Is your Windows version set to XP? If it is set to Vista or later, this is a
duplicate of bug 29788.

Hello folks,

saving documents works for me too.
Since OP didn't bother to respond -> resolving 'fixed' (was likely invalid,
probably broken Wine package/prefix).

$ wine --version
wine-1.7.19-56-gee13e10
