I cant click on anything, when i do click somewhere in the app i get the output
beginning at line 80. Program is unusable.

cd to the directory first. Does 'winetricks cc580' help?

No, after installing it i get an additional line of Error Output: 
fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could not find dependent assembly
L"Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls" (6.0.0.0)

Is this still an issue in current (1.3.29 or newer) wine?

I have noticed that some dialog boxes such as the map properties one only works
with the keyboard and after a while the program freezes.  both rpg maker xp and
vx are effected.  I am wondering, is this the same bug?

Hello folks,

since OP didn't state the actual app version I tested with an old 1.02a
User interface works fine here (also 'Map properties' dialog).

Resolving 'fixed'.

$ wine --version
wine-1.7.19-70-gd6a59f7
