Bug ID: 57169 Summary: Driver errror message right after launching Ancient Cities Product: Wine Version: 9.17 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: ski_ller@protonmail.ch Distribution: ---
Hi,
Since the game was released in early access, it always endup with a message saying the game won't run on old amd card, and the game close.
The problem is i have a 7700m discrete GPU, so i assume the game method to detect the drivers versions / gpu is invalid.

--- Comment #2 from Ski-lleR ski_ller@protonmail.ch --- (In reply to Zeb Figura from comment #1)
Does this bug occur with the non-staging development branch?
Yes, with the same error message.
It say exactly : "Try to update your drivers. Intel and AMD R9, R7 and older graphic cards are not supported due to the lack of some hardware features used in this game."

--- Comment #3 from Ski-lleR ski_ller@protonmail.ch --- I can offer a steam key for Ancient Cities if that can help to solve the problem. It's a really good game and having to use Windows for just this one...

--- Comment #4 from Ski-lleR ski_ller@protonmail.ch --- I don't know if we hhave the right to speak of proton here, so delete my messagee if it's forbidden.
On latest experimental proton version, the game launch, so they certainly do something for the amd card being detected correctly, but game is full of garbage, green triangle everywhere on the screen.
