I tried this application in clean wine, but is pretty unstable here even in 1.1.40, so i'm not reliably able to tell which commit is good.

hi. in wine 1.1.40 it's quite usabe (also in FTP mode) only if you disable the "Auto detect the utf-8 file" if i remember well. I think there is an open bug concerning utf8 problem: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13094
I try to follow: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting but, i'm not a guru, so... :)

--- Comment #4 from Andrew Eikum aeikum@codeweavers.com 2010-06-04 14:22:56 --- Is this still a problem in 1.2-rc2? If so, can you please give detailed, step-by-step instructions for how to reproduce the crash?

--- Comment #5 from Andrew Nguyen arethusa26@gmail.com 2010-06-30 12:13:26 --- I can't induce a crash with UltraEdit 14.10 either through the FTP/SFTP browser or the "Open from FTP..." function. The former does seem to hang for a while until it successfully connects to the Mozilla FTP server, but that is a separate issue.

--- Comment #6 from Andrew Nguyen arethusa26@gmail.com 2010-06-30 12:14:00 --- I forgot to mention that this is with wine-1.2-rc5-38-g04c8600.

--- Comment #8 from Bruno Jesus 00cpxxx@gmail.com 2011-10-01 12:52:20 CDT --- Comment 5 says it's working. I retested it in wine-1.3.29-121-gfdda702 and it's still working.
In my test I browsed several folders and opened files from ftp.mozilla.org.
