Summary: VisualFEA's Toolbar is broken (does no line wrapping) Product: Wine Version: 1.1.19 Platform: PC-x86-64 URL: http://www.visualfea.com/ OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: cs071007@fhstp.ac.at
Created an attachment (id=20529) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=20529) VisualFEA Win vs. Wine
The Item toolbar (right side of screen) in visualfea does not apply line wrapping as it does in windows, making the app unusable for work. Rest of the app seems to work quite nicely (applying boundaries and so on, solver, visualization, ...) Wine does not give any warnings in the console, though (is there some verbose option?)
Ah, I'll just attach a screen of win & wine so you know what I'm talking about. It's the same install in both cases. Jnstaller ran in wine, windows only has access to wine's program dir through a network share ;)

I can confirm, the issue is still present with wine-1.3.5-318-gd8a5bc9: only a few of the items are drawn in the toolbar. There's no output from Wine while running the application.
Workaround: installing native comctl32.dll via winetricks >> makes all items to appear in the toolbar.
I attached a debug log, created by adding all possible comctl32 debug channels; actually, only the dpa, imagelist, toolbar, tooltips and treeview channels are used.
Please, consider changing the component to comctl32.
Here you can find the trial version of the app: http://www.visualfea.com/download.htm

--- Comment #5 from GyB gyebro69@gmail.com 2011-10-24 12:43:19 CDT --- The problem persists in Wine-1.3.31 and with the free trial version of the app. Native comctl32.dll works around the bug -> adjusting the component field and confirming the bug. Doesn't seem to be a regression: the same behaviour with 0.9.33, 1.0.1, 1.2.3.
