Summary: pSX emulator does not receive input from Option (Alt) key. Product: Wine Version: 1.3.3 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.6 Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: LordHDL@yahoo.com
Created an attachment (id=30905) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=30905) pSX Output
The Option key on an Apple keyboard also serves as the "Alt" function for Windows applications. Other applications I've tested recognize it normally, but pSX does not. It is required for invoking full screen mode. You can also assign it to a misc. key command in the application's configuration, but all it does is scroll through the text fields. Nothing appears in the log when trying to use this key, but I attached it anyway.

--- Comment #1 from Sean Broadhurst samael5@verizon.net 2011-03-31 04:51:59 CDT --- This isn't a bug in wine, but an issue in how Apple X11 and XQuartz handle meta keys. Some programs respond to option as alt, and some programs respond to command as alt. pSX is one that uses command for alt.
Also note that pSX's full screen mode doesn't currently seem to work in wine. I'm not sure if it's a bug in XQuartz or a bug in wine itself, but in either case that's outside the scope of this bug report.
